Warranty The Lifetime, 215 MPH Perma-Tite Gold Wind Warranty is available on orders to meet a project's specification. It provides a maximum of Limited Lifetime, 215 MPH coverage for the repair or replacement of any portion of the roof edge system that has failed due to a defect in Metal-Era supplied materials.
Testing
  • Tested per ANSI/SPRI/FM 4435/ES-1 Standard to comply with the International Building Code.
  • Factory Mutual approved for wind uplift protection.
  • Miami-Dade Approved (No. 23-0912.08 12/11/28) to comply with the “High Velocity Hurricane Zone of the Florida Building Code.”
Accessories Factory fabricated miters provide a cleaner, more aesthetically pleasing appearance. This eliminates the need for field fabrication, providing time and labor savings.
Also Included 12" wide, 16 ga. spring clips provide a more positive attachment ensuring extra stability for the system. All splice plates and fasteners are also included and will arrive to the job site with the product.
Available Materials Its unique design allows for covers to be manufactured in 22 ga and 24 ga steel, .040", .050" and .063" aluminum.
Colors Choose among a wide range of standard colors and finishes that meet your job requirements. A 30-Year Kynar 500® Finish Warranty is included on coil-coated standard colors. Custom post-coated Kynar 500® colors are available with an included 10-Year Kynar 500® Finish Warranty or a 20-Year Kynar 500® Finish Warranty is available upon request.

Anodized finishes are also available and come with a 5-year warranty (no warranty available for coil anodized finishing; Post-coat/Class 1 Batch Anodized is available with a 5-year warranty with an option to increase to a 10-year warranty for an upcharge). Please email Technical Services regarding pricing for Anodized finishes. 

Please note: Express colors available in shorter lead times for 24 ga., .040” and .050” only. Standard lead times, which may be longer, apply for 22 ga. and .063”.

Concealed Splice Plates 8" wide concealed splice plates with dual non-curling isocryl butyl sealant strips allow for thermal movement of materials and seals all joints.
Custom Capabilities Radius and specially fabricated products are available to meet the unique needs of each project.
Efficient Design A full, snap-on design in 12'-0" lengths with no crimping make for quick installation and low labor costs. Pre-punched fastening holes ensure proper attachment to the building substrate. Corrosion resistant, stainless steel springs are factory attached to the anchor clips and provide long-term, positive spring loading. No adhesives are required.
